Our Story

Moonstone Atelier is founded by Jackie Tam. Jackie is a working mother who juggles her days between two wonderful children, a full time job and other responsibilities. To keep herself from drowning in stress that comes in different ways and forms, she likes to work on little art projects. Searching the internet for craft ideas, she stumbled upon Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA) and was intrigued by the art form instantly. The therapeutic effect and sense of accomplishment she experienced through creating Pastel Nagomi Art motivated her to become a certified PNA instructor and to start up Moonstone Atelier so that more people can benefit from this art.

The gem stone, Moonstone, is believed to have the properties to sooth emotional instability, provide calmness and promote inspiration. We hope that through sharing our knowledge of Pastel Nagomi Art, we are able to bring you the same wonderful properties and more.
